Hanlin Language School was established in 1999, and registered with the Ministry of Education as a language school managed by a team of professionals.
Our teachers are registered with the Ministry of Education. We employ highly qualified teachers from Beijing for Chinese Programmes and NIE trained teachers for English & Maths. All these teachers also have many years of teaching experience.
We are language specialists and our core competency is in providing enrichment programmes to help learners master the Chinese language. Students who are going through our enrichment programmes can testify that their grades in mother tongue have improved substantially since joining our classes.

InnocentCreative Composition for Primary and Secondary Schools*
Do you know that Composition test is 60 percent of the total marks for the O Level Examination. The ability to write has a lot to do with contents and vocabularies. Knowing literature is one of the best ways to develop writing skills. We invite you to register early for this learning program.

Kip Mcgrath Mathematics is another innovative enrichment programme offered by Hanlin Language School with the objective of helping the learner acquire analytical and holistic problem solving skills using IQ Mathematics. Basic Certificate In Chinese Course
Our Basic Certificate Course is offered to English educated adults who have a strong desire and interest to eventually master the Chinese language comprehensively. This is a foundation language learning program and the end-in-mind objective is to help our students to build up the language skills to be able to sit for the HANYU SHUIPING proficiency examinations organized by the Ministry of Education in Beijing.
The course will be organized in 8 modules and can be completed over a 10 months’ period. Classes will be held twice weekly and each learning session will be 2 hours. The total learning hours per module is 20 hours or 160 hours for the entire course. To ensure maximum effectiveness, our class will not have more than 10 students. To start and maintain an on-going class, our minimum requirement is 8 students.
As this is a structured learning course, students will be given homework, regular assessments, term tests, and a reading program. At the end of the course, HANLIN LANGUAGE SCHOOL will issue a Certificate of Completion to every successful student.
All our teachers are highly qualified and native PUTONGHUA speakers. We will ensure that every lesson conducted for our students are done in a very lively and interactive manner.
If upon the request of our students, we are able to organize a cultural tour to Beijing, the capital city of the Peoples’ Republic of China at the end of Module 6. The entire trip will be done in Mandarin so that students will have a real life exposure to the rich language environment in Beijing. The tour is optional and the tour fee is additional to the normal school fees.
Our Basic Certificate in Chinese Course will also be offered to corporations under our Group’s consulting arm known as MANDARIN GATEWAY CONSULTING.

On a one on one class a student can make the best use of the time they have with the teacher by explaining exactly what they want to achieve in each class. If you are a beginner student, in no time at all you will be out and about communicating with the locals. If your Chinese level is already strong you will find these classes keep pushing you to improve your pronunciation and vocabulary whilst ironing out mistakes, because one on one allows for maximum focus on your specific language problems. Once you have reached the required standard of Chinese these classes also provide the opportunity to design classes suited to your specific needs.
For absolute beginners, our experience has been that the small group classes are a great option. As everyone in the class is starting from scratch we will focus on ‘survival’ language first – you will learn to speak Chinese confidently in the situations where you really need it. Once your level has improved you have your own individual objectives and requirements and, if you want to, you can also learn to write Chinese. The focus of your vocabulary learning will also differ, so at this stage we recommend trying one on one classes so the class is more tailored to your needs.
Mandarin Gateway
Our Business Mandarin Courses is offered to working executives and businessmen who need to brush up their Mandarin speaking ability when dealing with customers, business associates and colleagues in China or in a Chinese working environment anywhere in the world.
HANLIN Language School has specially developed a practical language course with the end-in-mind objective of helping busy executives and businessmen master conversational Mandarin in up to 50 different common situations in a working environment. The course emphasizes on dialogue practice and enlarging one’s Chinese vocabulary and phrases, the latter of which is so vital for one to speak good Mandarin.
All our teachers are highly qualified and native PUTONGHUA speakers. We will ensure that every lesson conducted for our students will be done in a very lively and interactive manner.
We will offer a course packaged with 10 lessons of 2 hours each. This means that the total learning duration for each course is 20 hours. To ensure maximum learning effectiveness, our class will not be more than 7 students. To start a new class our minimum requirement is 5 students.
Our Information Technology and Business Courses will also be offered to corporations under our Group’s consulting arm known as GATEWAY CONSULTING.

书法
为了让孩子们认识中国文化,我们还开设了书法班。考虑到书法有一定的枯燥,所以在少儿培训中,要先培养兴趣,提高认识,然后从基本笔画入手、再到结构、章法。由浅入深,由简到繁,由大到小,循序进。从而使中国国宝的艺术流传下去。

绘画
选择一些色彩鲜艳、线条简单、形象生动的图画供学生欣赏,引起他们作画的兴趣。教师可当场作画并带出有趣的故事,孩子们边看边听、边想象、边创造,使他们也想动手试画,他们会在培训中,完成数件饶富童趣的作品,从中可以看出他们已具有了一定的创造性与表达能力

怎样培养孩子的注意力?    注意力是智力结构中的一个重要组成部分,即此人专心于某事物的能力。有些孩子活泼好动,坐不住,而且注意力分散,对学习缺乏兴趣,不善于支配自己的行动;也有些孩子做事三心二意,常常半途而废。
如果不采取措施纠正,久而久之就会养成一种坏习惯,对任何事物都难以进行深入的思考,头脑简单,行为幼稚。这对于孩子的学习、成才都会带来极大的不利影响。    家长都应知道,身边这个小活宝是自己一生中最大的创作,对他的不良行为长久的忽视,会给孩子的将来造成难以弥补的损失。所以,家长要冷静细心地观察孩子的行为,找出孩子不专心的根本原因,并耐心地帮助他加以解决,以便完善孩子智力的发展。    影响孩子注意力的因素主要有以下几个方面:   ⑴生理方面   由于孩子大脑发育不完善,神经系统兴奋和抑制过程发展不平衡,故而自制能力差。这是正常的,只要教养得法,随着年龄的增长,绝大多数孩子能做到注意力集中。    ⑵病理方面    轻微脑组织损害、脑内神经递质代谢异常等可引发儿童多动症,主要表现为注意力不集中、活动过多、冲动任性、情绪不稳、行为异常、学习困难;神经根结构或功能异常可引发儿童抽动症,除了主要表现为交替出现的刻板式眨眼、皱眉、呶嘴、清嗓音、
扭脖子、耸肩、甩胳膊、踢腿外,也常伴有注意力不集中。另外,有听觉或视觉障碍的孩子也会被误以为充耳不闻,不注意听或视若无睹,缺乏学习意愿。这些情况需要得到专科医师指导下的治疗才能改善。    ⑶饮食与环境方面    糖果、含咖啡因的饮料或掺有人工色素、添加剂、防腐剂的食物,会刺激孩子的情绪,影响专心度。此外,环境污染造成血液中铅含量过高也有影响。    ⑷家庭方面    教养态度与家中生活习惯对孩子的行为影响极大,也常是影响孩子最主要的因素,但“当局者迷”,往往无法客观地找出问题的症结所在。从下列几个方面来观察,也许可以找出一些原因。    ①教养态度是否一致?家长对孩子教养态度不一致的情况常使孩子无所适从,没有定性。    ②是否太宠爱孩子,缺少行为规范?过度的宠爱会导致对孩子的纵容,往往使孩子随心所欲,爱做什么做什么,没有忍耐、克制情绪、克服困难的观念,做事自然难以静下心来进行到底。    ③是否为孩子买过多的玩具或书籍?外在刺激太多,玩着汽车又找别的玩具,一换再换,玩具只带给孩子短暂的吸引,无法在玩的过程中感受到发挥想象力与创造力的乐趣。    ④家庭生活步调是否太快?家长在公私两忙的情况下,凡事讲求效率,步调原本较慢的孩子,被迫在快、快、快的节奏中打转,根本无暇慢慢而专心地完成一件事。    ⑤家里的活动是否太多?太多则无法给孩子提供安静的环境,生活总在浮动的气氛中度过。若非自制力很强的孩子,很难建立良好的专注力。    ⑥学习的过程中是否积累了不愉快的经验?提供给孩子的教材太深或太浅,都不易引起学习兴趣,而引导的技巧不佳,或经常因此造成乘兴开场,大哭收场的局面,将使幼儿产生对学习排斥的心理,学习起来自然无法专心。    ⑦孩子是否有情绪上的压力?如孩子觉得自己达不到父母的期望等等,这些压力易使孩子看起来魂不守舍。    ⑧是否过多的批评、数落孩子?过多的数落可能形成对孩子不良的暗示,使他产生“反正自己怎么也干不好”的想法,从而做事时不肯专心完成它。    ⑨孩子是否受到太多不良信息的影响?不好的影视作品、较大龄儿童不良行为对孩子的灌输、污染,会使孩子心理发生扭曲,行为异常。    那么应该如何培养孩子注意力呢?培养孩子的注意力除了要解决上面谈到的几个问题之外,还要从以下几个方面入手:   ⑴提供安静的环境     孩子生活中虽需要团体生活的机会,但也有个人活动的时候。在安静的环境中,使心灵逐渐沉静,发掘学习的兴趣,以增进专心度。此外,在孩子专注于学习时,大人不宜随便打搅,应在告一段落时,再提出要求。    ⑵陪伴孩子需有技巧     若是孩子无法独立完成学习,大人可在旁陪伴、协助,但切忌给予过多指导。    ⑶用静态的游戏延续注意力     像玩拼图、穿珠子等静态游戏可以从简单的开始,享受完成的成就感,以训练短时间的注意力,再慢慢加深游戏的难度和延长游戏的时间,以延长孩子的耐力,增进专心度。    ⑷从1分钟开始    孩子只要保持1 分钟的专注力,就予以称赞,再逐渐延长到一次5分钟、10分钟。赞赏、鼓励是学习的重要因素。    ⑸从孩子有兴趣的事着手   如拿本相片簿,为孩子讲述他出生、成长的故事;欣赏孩子的劳作,听听他小脑袋里在想什么;观察渔港里的小鱼,池塘里的蝌蚪……    ⑹建立秩序感    为孩子提供一个属于自己的角落,从学习物归原处、整理个人物品的过程中,逐渐建立秩序感。在日常生活作息上也要有规律,生活规范要建立。在执行过程中,家长要严格而不严厉。    ⑺选择小规模的幼儿园   注意力不集中的幼儿,对噪音的忍受度低,大班制的较不适宜。应选择小班制并且有系统教学方法的幼儿园,才能对幼儿个别情况,给予较多的关注与辅导。    ⑻加强孩子意志锻炼,培养其形成有始有终地做好每一件事的良好习惯   让孩子做些力所能及的事,在做事之前,父母应让孩子懂得做事的目的,并引起做事的兴趣;在做事过程中,孩子遇到困难,父母要教育提高孩子克服困难的能力,使孩子具有一定的责任感,这样孩子在做事的
时候注意力就会集中,去克服一些小的困难。久而久之,就能养成善始善终做完每一件事的良好习惯。完成一件事的时候,要及时进行鼓励评价,孩子就会产生一种满足感、快乐感。
